Volunteer Opportunities
Child Care Volunteer
Child care volunteers assist our childcare staff with direct care for the children that stay at the Crisis Nursery. Childcare volunteers will never be alone with the children. A Primary Child Care Provider will always be present with the volunteer.
Child care volunteers complete an application, submit to a background check, and participate in orientation and training before starting. Volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.
Seasonal Organizing and Inventory
Ivy House receives many wonderful donations of items from the community. To keep them easily available, we invite volunteers to come to the house and organize them for us. Work includes switching out clothing as the seasons change, tracking number of supplies in stock, and assisting with moving season appropriate clothing to our bedroom closets. If you like to organize, this is a great job for you!
Cleaning
Help with cleaning the Ivy House! This task is very flexible, can be done at times that fit your schedule. We seem to always need extra help with the deep cleaning tasks.
Gardening Yard Work and Maintenance
Do you have a green thumb, or are you handy with tools? With always need help with something around the house. Join us and put your skills to work for our little residents.

Before joining our Board, Ivy House wants you to be comfortable with what we do and with the responsibilities of serving as Board member.
